Introduction

  • ISPConfig offers the ability to create email boxes associated with owned domains. In order to create email boxes, it will be necessary to first add the domain in the panel, in the Domain menu under the Email Accounts category.
  • The domains that are added in the web hosting panel, under the Websites category, are automatically added in this menu, so there is no need to configure anything further. This tutorial is applicable only if we want to use the domain strictly for email.

Requirements

  • Administration data of the ISPConfig panel, received in the email box associated with the Hostico account, when the VPS was activated.

Steps to follow

  • First, we will connect to the ISPConfig control panel using one of the access addresses:

https://SERVERNAME:10200
or
https://SERVER_IP:10200
or
https://DOMAIN.XX:10200

  • Once we have logged in to the panel, we will click on the Email button in the navigation bar;
  • We will further go to the Email Accounts category and click on Domain;
  • In the list that will be displayed, we will be able to see the domains already added to the email server, either manually or automatically by the panel;
  • Only the domains that appear or are added in this menu will be able to be used to create email boxes further;
  • To add an additional domain, we will click on the Add new Domain. button.

In the next window, we will fill in the fields as follows:

  • Domain: The domain for which we want to be able to create email boxes;
  • Spamfilter: We select the aggression level of the anti-spam filter. It is recommended to select the Normal option;
  • Active: We will leave the checkbox; If we want to also set DKIM (spam/phishing protection), we will click the DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) button; It is recommended to go through this step as well;
  • enable DKIM: We will keep it checked;
  • DKIM-Selector: We don't change anything;

DKIM Private-key: We don't change anything;

We click on the button: Generate DKIM Private. The DKIM keys will be generated in the DKIM Private-key and

Next, we will click on the Save button in the bottom right corner.

From this point on, for the domain configured above, we will be able to add email boxes from the Email Mailbox menu in the Email Accounts category.
