New changes made to the control panels offered within the VPS packages
Recent changes to the licensing of cPanel, Plesk, and Virtualmin affect VPS pricing. Hostico will maintain current prices for shared hosting.

cPanel
cPanel, one of the most widespread and used control panels in the web hosting industry, will undergo major changes to its licensing and pricing structure.
According to these changes, the price adjustment is a result of adapting to the current hosting market, following the model of several control panels whose licensing structure is based on the number of accounts/domains on the licensed server.
The novelty of cPanel's pricing is the charging of each standalone hosting account after the 100th account on the licensed server. This will automatically lead to an increased cost borne by the provider for each hosting package sold.
This pricing structure will take effect in September.
At the shared server level, the transfer of additional costs to customers depends entirely on the hosting provider. We, at Hostico, will maintain the rates of the shared hosting packages (Personal, Business, SEO, Reseller) at the current level and will look for solutions to avoid passing this additional cost onto customers. At the virtual server level, however, the change in license fees will directly affect customers as the license cost is fully borne by them.
The new cPanel licensing structure sets the license price based on the number of hosting accounts on the server. Therefore, we will have the following types of licenses/rates:
The number of accounts represents the maximum number of accounts that can be created on a server. However, there is no limit to the number of domains that can be added to an account, whether as additional or parked domains. The word Cloud in the license name refers to the fact that the license is available only for VPSs.
Plesk
In order to diversify the range of software offers as well as services, lately we have implemented alongside various services the Plesk control panel as an alternative to cPanel. The panel has been implemented as an alternative to cPanel both in terms of interface and costs.
The Plesk control panel has a similar licensing structure; however, it refers to the number of domains that can be hosted on a server regardless of their type.
The licensing structure and associated pricing for the Plesk panel are:
Virtualmin
In the same vein as Plesk, we also announce the introduction of the Virtualmin panel as an alternative to cPanel and Plesk. It can be obtained for free but has limited functionalities, meaning only one hosting account can be used by the user. However, there is no limit to the number of domains that can be hosted on this account. Virtualmin also offers paid licensing options that do not impose limitations on the number of accounts that can be used and/or server statistics.
If you wish to use Virtualmin without functional limitations, a license can be purchased. The licensing/pricing structure is similar to that of the Plesk panel - limitations apply to the number of domains that can be hosted on the server.
General
Regardless of the control panel chosen, for VPSs managed by Hostico, a service that is offered for free - the installation, configuration, optimization, security, and updating of the control panels and related services will be performed by Hostico.
The interfaces of the panels are of course different, but the core functionality is the same for each of them (adding/deleting domains, mailboxes, etc).
In the event that a change of the control panel is desired, the Hostico technical team will take care of the data migration between the panels in question.
