Introduction

In this tutorial, we will show how to enable notifications for the cPanel account and how to modify the contact information.

Requirements

  • cPanel account login details
  • A valid email address, we recommend using a different email address than the one or ones provided through the cPanel account.

Steps

  • To activate notifications in the cPanel account and change the contact information, we will log in to the cPanel account and go to the Preferences section and click on Contact Information.

  • A new page will open and here we will be able to add one or two email addresses for contact, and below we can check our fields of interest according to our preferences or stick to the default settings which include all notifications.
  • In our case we will add the contact address hostico@gmail.com and we will check the following notifications:

  • My contact email address is changing.
  • My account is nearing its disk space quota.
  • One of the email accounts in my account is approaching its quota or has exceeded it.
  • My account password changes.

  • To complete this operation, we will click on Save.
  • From this moment, the system will send us notifications based on the criteria chosen by us and will automatically notify us both in the case of changing contact information, via email to the address added previously.

Note: Activating these notifications will help us avoid email address malfunction due to lack of space, whether it has been completely occupied as well as in terms of the security of our cPanel account and unauthorized modification of our login credentials.
